Oven Baked Smores

Oven Baked Smores

Homemade Oven Baked Smores
I've always been curious about what a 'smore' actually is. They seem to be huge in America so I thought I'd finally give it a go and create a sticky, sugary, mess along the way. From what I can see on pinterestsmores are generally some form of biscuit, marshmallow and chocolate, usually made in front of a campfire. But, as I don't have a fire, or room for a fire pit, I went with the less adventurous oven baked option.

Ingredients for the oven baked smores
1. To make these smores, you need bisuits (two for every smore you want to make), chocolate and marshmallows.

2.
Grab yourself a baking tray and line it with grease proof paper. Place your biscuits on the tray with the bottoms facing up. I made 4 smores, so on four of the biscuits I placed the chocolate and on the other four I added the marshmallows. It's entirely up to you how much chocolate and marshmallows you want to add. Preheat the oven to 200ºc and pop them in.

3.
Bake them in the oven until they have gone golden brown or have melted. Please note that larger chunks of chocolate will take longer to melt than the marshmallows.

4. Once they are done in the oven, take a biscuit with the chocolate on and a biscuit with the marshmallows on and stick them together. Then enjoy all the sugary goodness. Just be careful not to burn your mouth!

If you do make these I'd love to see how you get on over on Instagram! Use the hashtag #JoanneHawker or tag me @joannehawker. Can't wait to see what you do!
