#MeetTheMakerWeek is back for another year! Hooray! This year it will run from Monday 27th November until Saturday 2nd December.
What is maker week?
In short, maker week is a more condensed version of my popular Instagram challenge, #MarchMeetTheMaker and just runs for 6 days instead of a full month. It focuses on helping designer/makers and small creative businesses to tell their story in the run up to Christmas.
Why take part?
Maker week is a great opportunity to network with other like minded creative types, forge new friendships and even finish your own Christmas shopping whilst supporting a fellow indie small businesses. It's also an opportunity to show your audience the face behind your brand, the hard work that goes into the creation of your products and to shine a light on your amazing work. It's also a great chance to grow your following and engage with new and interesting people, some of which could be potential buyers.
How do I take part?
Prompts for #MeetTheMakerWeek will be released a week or two in advance of the start of the challenge. This is to give you enough time to prepare your photos and instagram posts in advance because I know how busy this time of year can be so preparation is key! It also gives you enough time to ask questions and get help with some of the prompts should you need it. Keep an eye out on this blog for the list of prompts or follow @JoanneHawker on Instagram for updates on the challenge.
